Wicked Entertainment Ideas for Wet Weather Holiday Woes

Wet season weather in Bali can put paid to the best of beach day plans and the last thing you want to do on your annual family vacay is to sit, stony faced in your hotel room, surrounded by tetchy teens and kids with cabin fever.

The beach might be on the back burner but that doesn’t mean there’s no chance for fun activities to fill your day. What if you could find a place that had entertainment for every age group all in the one convenient location? Now there’s a solution! The Canggu Club is Bali’s best day out in any kind of weather. With so many different activities to satisfy each family member’s fancy, it’s the number one choice when it’s soggy outside.

Take to the courts and swing a racquet for an hour or two at the weatherproof tennis centre. Three full sized, under cover courts with flexi pave surface are available for hire and their team of professionals are on hand if you need a little assistance with your swing.

Right next door, the kids can satisfy their aerial urges at Bounce Bali trampoline centre. This air conditioned, undercover arena comprises a combination of elite tramps, jumping pits, dodgeball arena and running walls for those looking for a little more. It is fully supervised and safe for all ages.Thursday and Friday nights provide terrific opportunity for friends to get together with Bounce Mania and Mini Mania – 2 or 3 hours of trampoline entertainment for the price of one and a great chance for mum and dad to have a well earned break or enjoy some time on the lanes at Strike Ten Pin Bowling!

Strike is on the upper level adjacent to Bounce so you can send down a few spinners and still keep an eye on the kids from their viewing area above! There’s a cafe and bar to keep you fueled up as well as pool tables for a bit of extra fun. For families with little ones too tiny to take advantage of trampolining or ten pin, Cubby House Kids’ Club on the lower level of the complex can care for your tots and keep them entertained while the rest of you get active. Their team of trained professionals have an arsenal of activities and toys to engage your youngsters.

So you’ve got the kids covered. What about some other indoor options for the adults. Keep clear of the rain and take the courtesy buggy across the road to The Canggu Club to experience even more first class facilities. Catch up on the latest sports results with a cold beverage in the Sports Bar or enjoy a meal at the Verandah Bar Restaurant. Their sensational new menu means a modern twist on traditional flavours as well as a comprehensive kids’ menu sure to satisfy fussy little foodies.

Still feel the need to be active? Canggu Club Fitness’ fully equipped gym comprises the latest in exercise equipment and they offer a range of classes such as Spin, Pump and TRX along with a team of international professionals to help you train and tone.

After (or even instead of!) your workout, head downstairs to Body Temple Spa and take some blissful time out with a massage, mani-pedi or pamper package. Let the therapists guide you through their range of exquisite treatments designed to relax and rejuvenate, guaranteeing you will emerge fully recharged and ready to tackle the rest of your holiday!

Of course, Bali’s wet weather is always unpredictable and if the clouds clear and the rays return, grab the whole gang and get some slide action at Splash, Bali’s newest water park, located right there at The Canggu Club. With a variety of slides and an aquatic adventure land for the littlies, Splash is superb family fun in the rain or sun. Access to the park is included in Canggu Club entry, ensuring you can enjoy unlimited swimming and sliding all day!

When the wet stuff threatens to wreck your routine, head to The Canggu Club. Check out the ‘What’s On’ page on their website to keep abreast of the latest deals and specials at all Canggu Club venues.

March Massage Madness Specials at Body Temple Spa

We’d all love to sport lustrous locks and subsequently many of us spend hours (and $$$) on our hair to get it looking healthy. But did you know that a single strand of your hair can tell you much more about your entire body’s state of health and wellbeing?

Dr John Rogerson, an internationally respected functional wellness practitioner and research scientist, will be returning to Body Temple Spa at The Canggu Club on March 21st to present a free seminar covering nutritional cleansing, counseling and healthy treatment options. With expertise in bio physics along with twenty years experience in alternative wellness strategies from around the world Dr Rogerson specialises in Kinesiology, Reflexology, Reiki and Ayurveda. He has also developed the EFi energy status screening system. This is a light metre which indicates your body’s energy via a system of colours and patterns, highlighting areas where the energy stagnates, possibly causing problems such as stress, congestion and inflammation.

20160225-blog-march-massage-02In addition to the free seminar on Monday March 21st, Dr John will be available on Tuesday (and Wednesday if required) for consultations and body assessments. Choose either Hair Strand Testing with a thirty minute consultation or the EFi Process – a sixty minute scan with immediate results as well as a 3 month, personalised plan (consultation fees apply). You can also make an appointment for treatments such as the Ajna Light Relaxation method or Scenar Pain Management, a progression of frequencies which pass through the body and are proven to aid the healing process, relieving aches and pains and releasing blockages and stress.

Reap Membership Rewards with CangguClub’s Payment Plan

Moving to Bali, or anywhere else for that matter, can become a minefield of mounting costs. Up front payment of your lease in full, school fees, staff, electricity and added extras that seem to appear from nowhere means there’s little left in the kitty to put towards entertainment options or experiences that might make this often testing transition slightly less stressful.

In addition to these fiscal factors, getting to know new people and finding secure and convenient places for your kids to meet new friends is vital to a sure and speedy assimilation into your new neighborhood. Granted, joining somewhere such as The Canggu Club is an ideal solution for many an island newbie’s social woes, but with all of the preliminary costs involved in relocation, the idea of forking out a lump sum fee for a family membership might seem a little out of reach.

The team at The Canggu Club appreciate the costs involved in moving your family to a new country and in an effort to get you and yours into the groove a little faster, they are offering a new payment option for Canggu Club memberships. Instead of having to pay the usual joining fee up front in full, they are offering the option of a twelve month payment plan. That’s right! You can pay off your joining fee in a series of installments. Payments are only scheduled for every three months (attached to your monthly fees) and are completely interest free.

As if this isn’t enough to get you hightailing it into the Club reception, they are also offering an additional 40% discount off the joining fee for Gold and Platinum Memberships! Of course, all Gold and Platinum members also enjoy the added bonus of an extra 20% discount on spa treatments at Body Temple Spa, Bounce Trampoline Centre and Strike Bowling as well as free entry to Finn’s Beach Club, Uluwatu and 10% discount on food and beverage.

What’s the catch? There isn’t one! As soon as you sign up you can immediately enjoy all of the benefits a Canggu Club membership has to offer: Splash Water Park, a fully equipped fitness club, gym and twenty five metre pool, member discounts on Junior Sports Academy tuition fees, fitness classes, all weather tennis courts, use of the business centre and fully fenced sporting field along with the peace of mind of knowing you and your family are safe in a secure environment.

With this deal, you get to have your cake and eat it too! Experience everything this world class club has to offer while keeping some cash in your coffers a little longer. To find out more about how you can take advantage of this fabulous offer, see the membership team at The Canggu Club or email your enquiries to: membership@cangguclub.com

Bounce Mania Moves to a More Convenient Time

Thursday – it’s a little further along the working week than hump day but soooo close to school being out that we feel it’s a day meant for fun!

With Friday’s trampoline sessions a frequent sellout and Saturday’s social calendars often a steady stream of other engagements and commitments, the ever popular Mini Mania and Bounce Mania have now moved to Thursday evenings as well as their hugely popular Friday time slot. Now before you parents get all pursed lipped about it still being a ‘school night’, the team at Bounce understand that late is not necessarily great and, in an effort to help parents beat bedtime blues they have brought each session a little further forward on the clock.

Not to worry junior adrenalin junkies, you still get the benefit of the full two and three hour sessions, Thursdays just start and finish a little earlier so that you can complete your school commitments and get in some serious tramp time too!

The new schedule ramps up this month with the first week of February seeing Mini Mania commence on Thursdays from 4 – 6pm, followed by Bounce Mania from 6 -9pm and then After Dark slotting in from 7 – 10pm for those whose bedside lights can burn a little later.

This Thursday afternoon programming for Bounce is also a terrific opportunity for parents to cash in on a session of active entertainment for their kids while they indulge in some social and sporting interaction of their own over at the Canggu Club with their Thirsty Thursday drink specials and sport. You could even find yourself heading home a little richer if you succeed in picking a winner with their weekly ‘Chase the Ace’ competition. Simply register your name with your drink purchase and you could get the chance to win the jackpot when you pick the ace card. Each week the amount increases until the kitty is collected. What a bonus, it’s babysitting and a beaut night out for everyone in the one convenient venue!

Fridays will still see the regular time slots in place for Mini Mania and Bounce Mania at 5-7pm and 7-10pm respectively, with After Dark only available on Thursday evenings. It’s fantastic exercise with proven health benefits and at only Rp125,000 nett for each session, it is a ridiculously cheap alternative for secure and supervised entertainment for your young ones. Of course Canggu Club Platinum and Gold members still receive their usual twenty percent discount off this advertised price and Bounce socks can be purchased separately for Rp25,000 per pair. It is compulsory to wear Bounce socks for safety purposes.

Places for Mini Mania and Bounce Mania tend to sellout quickly so be sure to arrive at Bounce Bali in plenty of time before each session in order to ensure your place. For further information on all Bounce sessions and this new schedule please contact the team at bouncebali.com or make a booking at reception.
